Global credit crunch makes Balkan property market more popular
19.11.2007
Currently, when Western European property markets are feeling the impact of the global credit crisis, a growing number of investors are casting their eyes on investment opportunities in the so-called emerging markets.
Risk, emanating from transactions on emerging markets, is already calculated in the expected returns on investment, yielding them an added value. However, economic foundations on the Balkans remain robust, and local credit markets are improving due to the recalcitrant requirements ensuing from EU accession.
In the meantime, the more developed Western markets are suffering the consequences of mounting credit problems, which tarnish their attractiveness. After considering the situation, a large number of investors opt for heading east.
