Foreigners have lowest cost of living in Sofia

Sofia is the cheapest city for living of foreign citizens, according to research of the American company Mercer. The criteria used by the comparison are the prices of property, food, transport, clothing, consumer goods and entertainment. Moscow has the leading position as most expensive city. For second year in a row the Russian capital city has the lead, as most unfavorable city for foreigners. The constant growth of the residential property prices and the overestimation of the ruble against the dollar are among the reasons for this position, according to Mercer.
London rises to second position in comparison with the last year, when it was fifth. New York is the most expensive city in USA, but worldwide is 15th. The third position goes to Seoul, followed by Tokyo, Hong Kong, Copenhagen, Geneva, Osaka, Zurich, Oslo, Milan, St. Petersburg, Paris and Singapore.
